Key Roles and Responsibilities
1. Design and develop new customized products to enhance existing product line such by selecting materials, assessing form, fit and function of the materials, conduct design failure mode effect analysis and design reliability testing so as to prepare appropriate engineering documentation to support the manufacture of the designed products
2. Conduct daily maintenance, reliability and performance testing activities with Manufacturing, Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to ensure products comply with all specifications set forth by Engineering and Agency Standards
3. Prepare recommendations to Product Marketing Product Designers on introducing new standard products based on existing customized products
4. Analyse material cost by to determine material mass and volume properties so as to determine product material cost and reduce sales price through value engineering.
5. Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to determine best design and evaluate alternate manufacturing procedures to determine option which best optimize labor and overhead costs
6. Collaborate with suppliers, manufacturing and model shop in preparation for product testing and assembles prototype products to determine form, fit and function in order to ensure product compliance with Agency and industry standards
7. Assist Sales Engineers and customers regarding technical requests of the assigned products
8. Track and analyze field problem reports by modifying the design and manufacturing processes so as to rectify and prevent similar issues

Job Requirements and Qualifications
61 Bachelor of Science degree in appropriate engineering discipline or equivalent
61 1-2 years’ experience in design/mechanical engineering
61 CET-6
